Wood Badge is designed to meet the advanced leadership needs of all Scouters, particularly unit level Scouters, such as Cub leaders, Scoutmasters and assistants, Venturing Crew Advisors, Committee Chairs and members. Additionally, Scouters serving at the district and council levels can achieve greater effectiveness through Wood Badge.

By taking Wood Badge, Scouters will acquire valuable tools such as listening, communicating, conflict management, project planning and leading change. Participants will better learn to understand and appreciate diversity and differences in our society. They will learn skills that will make them a better Scout leader. Units with trained leaders are able to deliver an improved program and a more meaningful experience for the youth Scouting serves.

Wood Badge is a two-weekend immersion and practice of advance leadership skills. Both weekends are required to complete the course. Wood Badge is an advanced, national leadership course open to all Scouting volunteers and professionals. Pricing is based upon paid in full date. Course Fees:

The course fee is $275 and covers all meals, materials, equipment, and awards.  (Personal camping gear and uniforms for the weekends are provided by each individual.) Discounts available when you sign up early!

• First 30 Scholarship: Be one of the first 30 individuals to pay in full by April 1, 2023 and receive an automatic $50 Wood Badge Scholarship. That's $50 off the course fee.
• Next 20 Scholarship: Be one of the next 20 to pay in full by June 30, 2023 to receive an automatic $25 Wood Badge Scholarship. That’s $25 off the course fee.
• Early Bird Discount: Take an additional $25 the course fee when you pay in full by April 1, 2023
