Kate Macy

Kate joined the Buckeye Council in 2019 as Office Manager. Her son had participated in scouting in Cuyahoga Falls and Kate assisted as a parent volunteer. Active in numerous non-profit leadership roles as a volunteer, Scouting seemed like a perfect fit!

She has previously worked in the healthcare industry in various support and Office Manager roles. Kate holds degrees in Voice Performance and Vocal Music Education from Kent State University and has been a soprano in The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for over 30 years. With The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus, she has performed with world-class musicians in numerous commercial recordings, and on tour to Europe, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Miami, and Naples. The Chorus has also performed with numerous regional orchestras. Nominated six times, performances have earned 3 Grammy awards.

In addition to work and singing, Kate can be found at her gym most days and enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, kayaking and spending time close to home in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park or at Blossom.
