Amy Heller
Amy serves the Harding Area, Johnny Appleseed Trail, and Killbuck Districts. This includes Ashland, Crawford, Richland, Marion, Morrow, Wyandot, Wayne, Holmes counties.
Amy Heller brings 30 years of professional Scouting experience and currently serves as the Growth and Giving Director at the Buckeye Council, where she oversees three Area Districts. Previously, she was the interim Scout Executive/Assistant Scout Executive at the Heart of Ohio Council, headquartered in Mansfield, Ohio. While at the Heart of Ohio Council, she managed a staff of 16, including five District Executives.
Throughout her career, Amy has held key leadership roles in multiple councils. She served as District Director for both the Simon Kenton Council, Columbus, Ohio and the Daniel Boone Council in Ashville, North Carolina. She also worked as Exploring Executive and Senior District Executive at the Great Trail Council in Akron, Ohio. She began her career as a District Executive with the Northwest Suburban Council in Chicago, Illinois.
Amy earned a degree in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University. She lives in Wooster with her husband, Scott. They have two children: Evan, a graduate student studying Special Education who competes in wheelchair basketball, tennis, and soccer at Auburn University: And Caiden, a junior studying Engineering and wrestling for the Messiah University Falcons. Amy is an active member of the Wooster Rotary and enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
