BSA Membership Forms & Resources
All youth and adults participating in Scouting must first join through an application process. Joining is easy! Youth can join online anytime at BeAScout.org.
- BSA Adult Application
- BSA Youth Application
- New Unit Application
- Merit Badge Counselor Application
- Registration Assistance Form
A new process will be implemented beginning Tuesday, January 16th regarding Criminal Background Checks on all Adult Leaders. When an adult application is turned in, those adults should not immediately begin in their leadership role until their background check has been processed and approved. The unit key 3 and applicant will receive an email once the background check has been approved.
- Once an adult application is processed, the person is put in “pending.”
- The adult leader will get an email notice informing them their registration is being processed and they are not to assume any leadership role until the completion of the CBC. The unit key 3 will also get an email.
- If the CBC comes back as “red” then the normal process needs to be followed for the clearance of the person or the denial and refund.
- If the CBC comes back as “green” the system will finish registering the person and send an email to the person and unit key 3 that they can now be an active leader.

Advancement Forms & Resources
Trail to Eagle
Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. A Scout who attains this rank is called an Eagle Scout or Eagle. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements.
