Biography

As a native of Canton, Ohio I am excited to return to the area as District Executive of Hetuck. I have a passion for community development and I believe the best way to impact communities is to provide positive programming to today’s youth. Through the Boy Scouts of America, I am excited to serve the community.

As a graduate of McKinley High School, I was a Top Ten Scholar and participated in many activities including golf, swimming, and Teen Court. After high school, I attended Hiram College where I continued developing my experiences towards community development.

During my time at Hiram College, I developed skills as a teacher, leader, and scholar. I was a two year captain of the Women’s Golf Team where I traveled across the state and competed with other D3 institutions. I was fortunate enough to study psychology and political science abroad in Australia. Through these and other scholastic experiences, I earned my BA in Integrated Social Studies Education for grades 7-12. Since then, I have worked with students in Twinsburg, Akron, and Cleveland.

During my time in Twinsburg, I focused on youth development as a lead school age teacher at a local early childhood development center. In Akron, I focused on developmental outreach in low-income communities by working with school-aged children. During my time in Cleveland, I taught 7th and 8th grade social studies to at-risk youth. Each and every one of these experiences was rewarding and have helped me develop as a community leader and broadened my professional outreach. I am glad that these experiences have led me back to Stark County.

I am proud to serve the Hetuck District of the Buckeye Council.
