Quest Adventure Weekend Mystery at Mountain Run
2010 Northeast Region Area 4 Venturing Summit
The Area 4 Summit is April 16-18 at Camp Mountain Run (Bucktail Council) which is just off of Interstate 80, near Dubois, Pa. (about mid way across Pa.)
The theme for the 2010 Area 4 Summit is "Mystery at Mountain Run". This is a takeoff on Murder Mystery dinner theatre and games like Clue.
The Area Venture Officers Association cabinet and the council representatives are planning an awesome weekend with lots of traditional outdoor activities, like COPE, shooting, boating, mountain biking, Geocaching, etc and indoor activities including Dance instruction, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and DDR as well as lots of unique local opportunities. Throughout the weekend participants will receive clues to help solve the mystery. The suspense and fun will build all day Saturday, with the final clues presented during the Formal dinner, which will be followed by a Formal dance (prom dress and tux?), then wind down with more music and fun at the after-party.
Camp Mountain Run has lots of great features that will enhance our event, including plenty of cabin space for Venturers who do not want to camp outdoors in April.
The cost for the Area 4 Summit is $40 for the weekend and includes all food and program. Cabin space is an additional $10 per person.
