Key Leader Conference 2017
Key Leader Meeting a Success!
The Buckeye Council held a Key Leader Meeting on February 25, 2017 to mark the beginning of our next year of success! Recognized by our new Area President, Daryl Dillenback, for reaching a Gold Level JTE as a council the group worked on plans for the rest of 2017 and our calendar for the 2017-18 program year.
The day began with some COPE games and pictures! Then we moved to a general session recognizing our Districts for their success in Journey to Excellence. At that point a break-out session was held related to each of our program functions in the council. Everything from camping to commissioners was covered and plans made for our future.
The lunch was a great gathering where, after a delicious sub sandwich or two, the Seven Ranges Camp Staff shared some of our traditional program ideas, a few songs, a skit and Trail to Eagle for the crowd. After an amazing rendition of “imitate the legendary monster”, the group went to the district break-outs to review those plans for the coming program year.
The day ended with Gene Thorn and David Truax encouraging us to be as successful in 2017 as we were in 2016. They also reminded us that all of the work we do and all of the time we spend is designed to help support the unit and each individual boy in our program!
