Summer Hours of Operation (July through August):

Monday through Friday:  11:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday on the following dates only:  July 27 & August 17:  10:00 AM – 2:00 PM 


Regular Hours of Operation:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday:  11:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Thursday:   11:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Saturday:  10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

The Marion Scout Service Center is a full-service Scout Store with a wide variety of Scouting items.

Items available to purchase include, but are not limited to:

  • Uniforms - shirts, pants, belts, socks, neckerchiefs, hats, neckerchief slides, insignia patches
  • Books – various Cub Scout handbooks, Boy Scout handbooks, leader manuals, Guide to Safe Scouting
  • Derby Cars - Regatta Kits - Space Derby Kits - complete with decals, tools, weights, and special options to dress up your vehicle.
  • Small Camping equipment - knives, mess kits, utensil kits, canteens, walking staves, first aid kits, and compasses.
  • Advancements - badges of rank and achievement, awards, patches, belt loops, pins and insignia. 
  • Apparel - Class B t-shirts, rain jackets, hats.
  • Gifts - Eagle Scout gifts, and adult leader recognition items, certificates.

Personal Shopper Service: Don’t have time to spend picking out awards for your next pack meeting or court of honor? Let our Marion Scout Store staff do it for you.  Just follow the steps below and let us help you out:

E-mail your order needed to: Marion Scout Store:  marion.scoutshop@scouting.org

1.  List of items and quantities (or attach your unit advancement form)

2.  Your contact name and phone number.

3.  Form of payment you will be using (if you wish) **If choosing credit cards, either scan your card when you arrive at the store to pick up your order or call the Scout Store with your number.  Please do not send any credit card info through e-mail. **

We will have your order packaged, rung up and ready for you to pick up and pay for. Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice and we will e-mail you when your order is ready. There is no additional charge for our Personal Shopper Service in Marion.

Special Order Items:  We are able to order most items you may need from Scoutstuff.org and have them delivered to the Marion Scout Service Center. We pay the shipping so you don't have to!  Contact Mike Watson at 740-389-4615 x 106 or e-mail at michael.watson@scouting.org to help you.  We just ask that you prepay for the items you are ordering.

Payments Accepted: Cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. A unit can deposit money "on account" with the Marion Scout Service Center so it's available for the unit to use when purchasing awards, advancements and supplies. Units can submit the names of adults who are authorized to use the account, and we will only let those individuals charge on the account.  Units may complete a form for sales tax exemption that we will keep on file so unit purchases are not charged sales tax.

Advancements & Achievements:  All rank advancements and badges of achievement must be accompanied by an advancement form for recording the boys' achievements at the time of purchase (either online advancement report or hand-written advancement forms).

Return Policy: Merchandise, except books/pamphlets and dated materials, may be returned only if:

  • It has been purchased less than 30 days ago.
  • It must be in its original condition or packaging.
  • It must have original tags attached.
  • Item is a current BSA stock item.
  • Original receipt must accompany return.Credit for returned items will be given in the form it was purchased.
  • Returns of special orders or non-stocked items are subject to a minimum 15% return/restocking fee.

    Certain merchandise is not returnable:

  • Dated materials
  • Discounted items
  • Books/pamphlets
  • Final sale items

Merchandise returned with receipt after 30 days, but less than 60 days will receive an in-store credit.  (Must follow the above return policies.)
