For Buckeye Council Eagle Scout Matthew Failor Scouting values found in the Oath, Law, and Motto are key to success as an 8-time Iditarod Racer. Covering 938 miles from Anchorage to Nome Alaska, the Iditarod is an annual sled dog race that pushes its racers to their limit and beyond. Matthew's dream is to win the Iditarod race and will never give up - a life lesson his parents and Scouting instilled in him as a kid. Scouting has been a very important part of Matthew's life and he encourages everyone to always remember the Scout Oath, Law, and Motto. "Stick by it for the rest of your life," says Matthew.
