Each year the popcorn sale helps to fuel the Scouting program throughout our communities. While this year's popcorn sale looks a little different, people are excited to see Scouts in action. Many families have shared that nearly everyone they ask is making a purchase! Beyond earning prizes and funding their adventure, Scouts also learn valuable skills by selling. Communication, salesmanship, and goal-setting are just a few of these important life skills, and they also connect to advancement opportunities. Check out the Scouting Ahead guidebook for more on which specific advancements can be achieved through the sale.

There are so many questions facing families this fall about what school and other activities will look like. The limitations created by the pandemic provide many opportunities and challenges for Scouting, and we are ready to overcome those barriers to continue providing Scouting to your family. We have developed guidelines for units to meet safely, extensive resources to bring Scouting adventures to life for you at home completely for free, innovated how we can continue to invite youth to join, and provided new tools on how you can use the popcorn sale to pay for your entire year of Scouting!

Not only is BPI a great place to learn more about topics that interest you, but it is a great opportunity to meet other leaders to learn from them. Chip T. from Troop 429 says, "I like the fellowship with other Scouters and the classes are helpful in seeing other perspectives on things."
